Every piece of JeffreyDesign jewelry is created by hand using high quality and natural materials. We use Sterling Silver, 14kt gold, gold-filled and gold vermeil. All chains are 100% .925 Sterling Silver. Most findings are sterling silver but occasionally, we use some fine plated 'base metal' findings and decoration, particularly when attached to pearls or other materials such as coral, amber, turquoise. In these cases its better not to have Sterling silver parts that might sometime need polishing or tarnish removal attached to materials that should not come into contact with harsh cleaning chemicals or polishing cloths containing chemicals. In particular, Jingle Bracelets are designed to 'give' or release if they are caught on something - this can be easily repaired, however it's better to repair the bracelet than to have a permanently ruined piece of clothing, for instance. All jewelry can catch on clothing or other fibers so we diligently try to limit any sharp edges or hook-like pieces.
The sterling silver charms used on the Jingle bracelets are unique hand made designs. The charms are also special in that they often have a front and a back with many fun details. We try to include on many of our pieces little surprises that you may only find when closely examining the jewelry. See if you can find yours!
Our sterling silver necklace chains are from suppliers who offer materials that are high-quality, generally Italian made. This is "925" (92.5%) silver with no nickel or base metals (aside from the standard 7.5% pure copper and zinc which makes up sterling silver). This quality of sterling silver withstands magnetic testing. JeffreyDesign offers this for retail sale to be used with our 'hook-on' interchangeable pendants.
Your jewelry should last for many years with normal wear. In the event a repair becomes necessary, JeffreyDesign will make repairs for any defects in design or construction, in most cases, at no cost. There may be a minimal charge, for an example, sometimes a bead can no longer be matched (as in the case with vintage beads) and therefore would require replacement of more than just one bead to keep uniformity in the design. JeffreyDesign reserves the right to fairly make the determination regarding any repair charges. All repairs will incur shipping charges from the owner to JeffreyDesign without reimbursement. However, JeffreyDesign will absorb the shipping costs for the return of repaired merchandise to the owner. It is highly recommended that you insure your shipment as JeffreyDesign will not be responsible for lost packages.
The beads used in JeffreyDesign jewelry are selected for their uniqueness and beauty. Gemstones and pearls vary of course due to their nature. We use many vintage beads from around the world, mostly Austrian, German, Czech and Japanese. These are often one of a kind, limited and irreplaceable, so each piece is a unique and special creation! Additionally, striking lampwork beads are sometimes used as well. Many pieces also include Swarovski crystals. We use only genuine Daniel Swarovski™ components.
